SANATALAND PARADE COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES
THEME AND BANDS FOR 2019 PARADE

The Sanataland Parade Committee has announced the theme for the 59th Annual Garden City Downtown Development Authority Santaland Parade, Saturday, November 30 at 10am. The theme of this year’s parade is “Christmas at the Movies.” “We believe this will allow parade participants to use their creative juices when
designing floats and entries for this year’s parade,” said
Dan York, parade committee spokesperson. “There have
been so many great Christmas movies, the ideas and material
are limitless.”

The parade committee offers awards for the top three floats
in the parade with the theme being one of the contributing factors in the judges’ decision. Last year’s float competition was won by the Burger School, followed by the Garden City Soccer Club and the GCYAA. It’s not too early to enter to be in this year’s parade. Just visit the Santaland Parade at www.santalandparade.com and follow the links to the participant forms.

Already committed for the 2019 parade are four marching bands including the host band, the Garden City Cougars, the Taylor High School Marching Band, the Robichuad Bull Dogs Drumline and new for this year, the Crestwood Charger Marching Band.

Watch for more information about the 2019 parade throughout
 the summer.
